Track your train on Google Map

Finally after so many years our Indian railway system has started growing and becoming more user friendly. There were days when most of the trains in India used to run on Diesel or Coal instead of electricity, people in the compartment right behind the engine used to get the choking, the heat and the fumes of them. Still there are trains which run on diesel because we don't have broad gauge lines on certain routes.

Some day we might also have high speed train reducing the travelling time but as of now one of the best thing has been introduced by the department where you can locate a train and plan your time accordingly. Or maybe if you have to go to pick someone you can check the current location and reach the railway station accordingly instead of reaching there and waiting for hours if it is late. Well, to do this you can visit - trainenquiry.com and by entering the train name or the train number you can locate your train. The application working for this is Rail Radar. As of now, Indian railways have started it on pilot basis and later on they will make it a permanent feature.

Railways have increased the fair earlier in the rail budget but I think if we keep getting better services and better facilities on the stations the hike can some what be justified. There are many vital issues that railway should cater and the services can become better as compared to the present situation.
Hope to see some more positive changes in this department without any new scam. :)
